TARUN TAHILIANI WOMENSWEAR
Silk, banrasi, tulle, gotta patti, and embroidered chikankari are some of the magical touches that Tarun Tahiliani loves incorporating into his works. Accompanied by needlework with beads and semi-precious stones, his unique collections often use digital prints, florals, feminine silhouettes, and beautiful colour combinations. His designs for womenswear are infused with graceful Mughal touches that effortlessly transport one to the age where the hallmark of Indian trousseau was ruled by hand-made details, ornate embroideries, and intricate thread works. His collection ‘Chasm Shahi’ at the Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2017 was heavily inspired by Mughal gardens and architecture. Colour palettes were kept limited to whites, creams, beige and jade and black. One thing that stood out like a glittering diamond in this collection was his idea to portray menswear in the classiest way possible. Apart from this, one can obviously add touches of finesse to the look by adorning a stunning brooch or a heavy shawl. Arjun Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Varun Dhawan are amongst the many Bollywood actors who have been spotted time and again in Tarun Tahiliani Menswear collection.
